Black Head is a multi-award winning beach under the Keep Australia Beautiful program for it's cleanliness and freindly residents. It won back to back titles as the Friendliest Beach and the Cleanest Beach. Many local community groups take responsibility for ensuring the area is kept neat and tidy for the overall benefit of residents and visitors. Whilst swimming at Black Head, have a though for "Dad's Army", the dedicated group of residents who volunteers many hours to regularly keep this pool in top condition.
